I've been kicking myself for selling my CC01 jeep for a while now, and have wanted to add a CC01 chassis back into the stable for a while. I finally picked this off the bay about a month ago, and just got it finished. Pretty much stock aside from the wheels and a 65t motor. I have the headlights wired up, and am working on the fog lights also. Lots of paint on here!! Took forever to get all the details painted, but very worth it. Figured i'd snap some pics before it gets a bit rock rashed. I'll eventually mod it up with a true 4 link and some other mods, but content to putter around in stock for for the time being.

Great looking rig, I love the Pajero.
When you mod it don't forget the drop link suspension I use it on my CC01 Jeep and it works great.

first thing to do is work on a body lift. i trimmed the wheelwells a bit without making it too obvious and I'm almost clear, but at full wood the front tires just hit. couple of spacers will do the job. Love the jero body, i hate to tear it up. i might made more of a basher body for it for playtime.
I think i still have the 4-link set-up from my old jeep somewhere, i took it back to stock before i sold it. worked great, if i can find it.

i love the integy wheels, for the price they are just plain beautiful. I bought 2 sets, the others are on yet another upcoming project. HOWEVER, several of the screws that hold the wheels to the adapters worked loose and got lost during shipping, I wrote to Integy this morning to see about sourcing some new ones. If they come back with a good answer, i might pick up 2 more sets.....We'll see.

Sweet!! another bay find, picked up a Toureag with a Velineon, 6000mah lipo, FM radio, and almost a second full kit in parts including an unpainted body. Pretty good deal, though if the wife sees the bill, i am in serious trouble.
Enough parts to start build 2 full CC01 kits (Debating on keeping the Toureag bodies, though i kinda like them) and have plenty of spares. The lipo and Velineon will find homes elsewhere. When the new chassis gets here, going to start modding the 'Jero suspension for better offroading ability.
On it's way!

too many projects!! have the yellow jeep still in the works (got stuck and put it on the shelf, but determined to finish it at some point), a Land rover defender scaler with TLT axles that's in paint, and a 1/8 jeep 4 door build up going on, as well as the planning stages for monster mo part 2. Now here's another one....:) Going to be a long winter!!

Suwheetttttt!!! it's like x-mas came a month late. Toureag is in awesome shape overall, and came with a programmable FM radio, Velineon, lipo and a nearly complete second car with unpainted body and ESC. Everything is in A-1 condition, both decal sheets are here, and all the documentation for everything. the second chassis has been modded somewhat with the front cut off, but that's fine for use as a scaler and something i don't know if i could do myself... :) and one of the tires is shaved...but all in all, not bad for under 3 bills! Going to try to build up 3 CC's out of the parts.

Yup, this was a good score! That BIN buttong keeps getting me in trouble!
Well, i was working on the parts CC01 and looks like everything is there to rebuild it up except the shafts that the gears ride on, and 2 pins for the suspension arms. i made all the shafts for the gearbox except one - need to find a 6ox5mm shaft and the 2 4mm smaller ones for the suspension arms. Otherwise, got everything here.
I took the velineon and lipo put of the Toureag (got a nice new home for these planned) and put in a 19t motor for now. I have 2 lathe motors coming for these and some other goodies, but for now just wanted something to go play around with. Removed the decals and changed the wheels to a set of Tamiya 2 piece wheels...took it for a gentle test drive last night in the -7 weather and it's fun! pretty stable, i've never had one in the long WB configuration before. Not going to stay this way, but until i figure out what I'm doing with it, it's good for now! Seems my land Rover body that i am building a chassis for fits on here perfectly! hmmm....

Sweet - CC01 chassis number 3 is built and ready to go. no pics yet, working on a body. I made the missing 5mm transmission shafts out of a spare wheely king axle, and the 4mm suspension shafts from an old kyosho driveshaft. everything fits good, and i modded the front suspension for more downtravel and steering. Thought i'd try it on the beater before modding the Pajero. I'll put the pics of the newest chassis in another post once i get the body complete. Only parts missing from both kits are the rear axle lockers, but i can work around that.
I also ordered a full compliment of pro-line scale accessories - roof rack, lights, etc. for the 'jero, should be here later this week.
are you keeping that vxl in there? thatd be heckka awesome

no - too much for that chassis, it will just barrel roll at speed. Using it in either my Stampede or Slash.

Nice, do you have any idea what tire your going with?
OldSchoolRC
01-23-2009, 09:43 AM
tires for..... which one? my Jero is using hi-lift tires, and so far just using the stock BFG's on the other 2. they fit well, going larger requires some mods.

Felt like doing a little work to the Jero this morning during the powerblock.
I did a 1/4 in body lift by shaving the rear mounts and putting spacers in the front mounts....I had already shaved the body a bit in the wheelwells and now the tires do not rub the body and tuck in pretty well. I swapped the 8 holes for a set of gunmetal wheels - i think they fit the body color pretty well and i wanted the 8holers for something else. The tires are not the best for offroad traction, they are hard as a rock but i think they fit the body well from a scale standpoint so i left them on.
on to the major mods: first thing i wanted to do was get rid of the front bumper, so i broke out the dremel and did some careful shaving:

Then, used an old pizza plate and fabbed up a front skidplate.
http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr84/dschlegel/Pajero/paj2_sm.jpg
While i had all the parts off, i shaved down the suspension arms and C hubs for more travel. I left the rear suspension alone, it has plenty of travel for a scaler and its pretty even with the front.

http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr84/dschlegel/Pajero/paj4_sm.jpg
For better looks, i moved the antenna mount to the rear bumper so it looks more like a CB whip ilo sticking up from the center of the body, and mounted a pro-line roof rack. I also added lights to the front, though i'm not overly happy with the "yellow" LED's, they are more of an amber color. Going to see what else i can find.

I have the scale accessories ready to go, going to try making some bungies and do some paint on the scale stuff to weather it down. then it's off for some outdoor pics!

Added the cooler, jack, and some other stuff and made a bunch of bungees during the godawful boring nascar race sunday night to hold them all in. Need to get some mroe scale stuff for the rack! Took it out for some nighttime pics..this one is almost done, want to build a brushguard and rock sliders then i can put this in the done category!

Looks good! Now its time to give it to me...
On a side note. I see that it is scale and don't have too much articulation, but how is she as a belly dragger? What type of inclines can she do?

it's not bad, with both diffs locked, you'd be surprised where you can go. Cannot keep up with a purpose built crawler of course, but out in the backyard it's pretty solid. If you can get the front wheels up on it, you can usually get over it.
