Here is an Axial Buzzard Body that I painted. I am not sure if I will ever paint checkers again. There are just too many places for the paint to get under the little checkers of the mask. I spent a lot of time cleaning out and there is still overspray in the checkers area.

This is an XXX Main distorted checkers mask on an Axial Buzzard Body. The model is the new $88 Savage 4.6SS I picked up. I used all Faskolors- purple, black, blue, white, yellow and silver. You can see the blue to purple fade in the background color and yellow to white fade in the checkers.

I think its ok. We are all our own worst critics though. I am interested to see what you folks say.

Much better than my art work. I like how the checkers "POP" off the background colors. Very nice touch on the rear checkers kinda falling off the grid so to speak. Looks like a pain in the butt, but very fun at the same time. A+

Excellent job on the paint Dale. I feel the same way about being a worse critic on my paint jobs.

ditto - looks great - you won't notice the bleeds when the truck goes flying past you at 40 mph.
