Another Newbie to your site here. I'm currently stationed at Camp Ramadi, Iraq. RC Driver has been kind to show their support to us soldiers so the least I could do is order up some RC Driver gear and register here. About myself???
Well, I've been involved with the sport of RC since I was a youngster...think my first RC was a Grasshopper or Hornet...whatever one was the black with yellow. My first RC racing action was with a Blackfoot at then A&S Hobbies in Fulton, Ny. I ran there for a few years moving up to RC10 based EDMS shortly after half a season of trucks. Then I was on and off again racing with my dad. He was the set up man. I just drove the thing and gave him the car's input. (I don't suggest ever doing this with your children, get them involved!) My father and I moved to Branson, Mo where I was forced to convert from dirt oval to carpet. I ran stadium truck carpet oval and 12th scale on road. This was very challenging and enjoyed it. I joined the Navy and while stationed in San Diego, I picked up a Nitro Rustler off a buddy. Now I'm in the Army, stationed in Iraq. I've been introducing the sport to many new people and have been working on a track in my spare time. Since breaking ground, there are now a total of four tracks on this base. There are more and more people ordering cars and trucks on a daily. It's taking off! Thanks to RC Driver, I have reference to show these potential newbies the ins and outs of the vehicles. Now if I can only get fuel to power my XXXNT AD's and my Nitro Rustler! I'm ordering a XXXT MF2 and going to enjoy banging fenders with my soldiers! That's about that!
