I want to get something to run indoors. I do not like Mini T's, uncle has one, it sucks. And it sits to low. I will be running on thick carpet mostly. But I may take it outside for a romp once in a while. I am thinking 4wd, and moster truck. I saw something like that a while back at the LHS, but I do not remember what it was. I am not looking to get it today, but it is on my new years list for RC's, along with a PEDE, Slash, then small scale. Let me know what you guys think is a good inhome basher, that will not break if I hit a cabinet, and I do not need it to be fast, just dependable, and electric. Also, what type of battery would one take? Are they hard to work on? Can they take 1/10th scale jumps???, or would I need to build tiny ramps? Anyone got one they want to part with, PM me.

Team Losi Mini LST2 ( http://losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0217 ) or Team Associated RC18MT( http://www.teamassociated.com/ae/18mt/18mt_home.htm ). Both are great. I run Mini LST2, but the 18MT is a great truck as well. They will only go as fast as you make them go. Stock setup should be ok for most jumps... at least anything that you would do indoors.

There are numerous others to choose from, but I believe that these are the best for what you are looking for.

I do not know the price of the RC18MT, but the Losi Mini LST2 comes ready to run for under $220.00 and includes battery and charger. If you act before the end of the year, Horizon Hobby is offering a Lipo upgrade at no charge.

I would have to say go with an RC18MT or wait for the new traxxas minis to come out. LST2 is an alright truck if you are willing to spend another $80 after getting the stock truck to install a single 1/10 servo. While the mini LST2 has an indestructible frame and a great look, the speed is lacking and The servos are easier to break than a toothpick. If you get a MLST2 I can almost promise you that your servos will break very soon after you get it usually within an hour if you're jumping it and 1-2 weeks just with light off-road running. Go with a RC18MT they are fast, easy to work on, can handle anything you throw at them, and short of smashing one with a hammer it's nearly invinsible.

I have the Mini LST2 and I agree... It is a great truck. I never had a problem with the servos, but I did the Exotek upgrade to eliminate future problems. It is not really fast in stock form, but can be made fast very easily. Once you put a little time and money in either truck, you will be very pleased.

Speed, well, if going outside, I would need a little speed. Nothing a motor or gearing can't fix. Mostly, it will be ran indoors, likely the hotel room I stay in @ work in Texas. 4WD is a must as I believe outdoor running with a low to the ground chassis will hold it up alot in the grass. I want it to be able to muscle through dirt and turf. 4WD for indoors as it would be geared low for better small space indoor fun. Perhaps a few small ramps, but mostly inclines to lead up to the table and counter tops. Kind of a "MINI CRAWLER"ish type of deal. Just mainly something to do on cold or wet days, and that is easily portable. Now the servo issue is scary. Has anyone else had that problem? I can get better servos/esc's/motors/ect., but I like to run stock, and as things break over time, then upgrade. My Rusty is the prime example of this. It got a new shell after a year of abuse. That is the only upgrade. Like I said, speed is really not that important, but durability and ease of repair is the #1 concern. Thanx Guyz.

The servo issue is the mini LST's prime issue hence the reason why there is an $80 single sevo conversion. If you do get a MLST Don't even bother buying replacement servos for it because Team Losi knows there Mini LSTs have servo issues and they take full advantage of it by charging $20 a piece for there piece of crap servos. So $20 here another $20 there your little mini LST turns into a $300 vehicle just to keep it running. Heres what you want right here...

i hated my mlst. seems like something was always breaking. i just had a bad experience with it, so that my .02. Sounds like a stock TLT/max climber or Venom mini giant would fit the bill here, if you can find one. A Cliff Climber or Losi Mini Crawler might be a good fit too, though they are a little bigger.

i'm really liking my mini lst but i will agree with every one else it seems to always be broken but if you get some upgreaded servos like hitec hs65mg or hs 85's either are good but you'll have to buy servo savers for them to have them last

I love my Mini LST2 also. If you stay stock, only upgrade the servos, it is an awesome truck for indoor play. It comes RTR, even the batteries for the 2.4 ghz radio are included. At $200.00 brand new, it is a good deal.
