No Limit RC of Virginia is running the 1/5 scale races at the World Finals at Digger's Dungeon. We don't have a 1/5 Scale Class in Maryland.

Here is the flyer for the March 7th Event.

I gotta say I have so many toys. I might have to get a few of my old Monsters ready for some fun too. I know I'm looking forward to the event. Having all scales of vehicles in one event is going to be awesome !

NLRCMD
01-21-2009, 10:13 PM
I was/am hoping to get a 5T before the World Finals but funds are tight at the moment. But, I'll have fun running my other trucks anyway.

Lyric

NLRCMD
01-21-2009, 10:45 PM
I can't wait to get out there and run my newly upgraded to Big Block T-Maxx. I still haven't broke in the motor yet... Maybe I'll get to that this weekend.

Been spending time building an E-maxx to run in the electric class also.

Now I have a bunch more bodies to paint, lol.

Maxx man

Maxx man
01-29-2009, 08:17 PM
I would love to but I dont have a charger that can charge them and plus I dont think my parents would want me to do that

NLRCMD
01-29-2009, 08:35 PM
I just meant if you didn't have a battery for the race, I could probably hook you up for the race. Not to take it home with you.

Maxx man
01-29-2009, 10:41 PM
oh I have a battery I think I should get another one... probebly go to the lhs soon

but thanks for the offer!

Im not that comfortable with lipos either

NLRCMD
01-29-2009, 10:45 PM
Lipos are not as bad as you think they are. Actually they rock. Longer Run Times, more Power.

Lyric
01-29-2009, 11:19 PM
is their a race in febuary because it says so in xtreme rc car magazine

NLRCMD
01-29-2009, 11:27 PM
I posted that before I talked to the rest of the crew about events. That's cool that is made it into a magazine tho. If the weather stays the way it is there will be no possible way. But, I think we are just going to shoot for March. We might throw a dash for cash in there somewhere.

Lyric
01-29-2009, 11:29 PM
so your not coming out what if lots of people come and their is no race

NLRCMD
01-29-2009, 11:36 PM

NLRCMD
01-30-2009, 09:11 PM
The best advice I could give you is to set up obsticles, like cones and learn to make turns. That is the area that most mess up. Get to know how fast you can make a turn without rolling, etc.

Maxx man
01-30-2009, 11:07 PM
k when all this snow and ice melts and drys up a bit Ill do that;)

Lyric
01-30-2009, 11:39 PM
it should be easy for you but with our MT's the tend to roll over alot because high center of gravity

Maxx man
01-30-2009, 11:47 PM
the slash tends to roll alot to... its basically a stampede with a different body the chassie is different but it still sits high like the pede so I definetly need to stiffen it up a bit...

NLRCMD
01-31-2009, 05:47 PM
Personnally I would like to get done around 4-5pm. Depending on how many racers show up we might get pushed to 5-6 but hopefully we get done before it starts getting dark.

As we get more and more attendance the registration time will get earlier.

Maxx man
01-31-2009, 07:44 PM
cool I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lyric
01-31-2009, 10:01 PM

NLRCMD
02-01-2009, 05:45 PM
The only thing Dennis Anderson does is provide a venue to hold the races at. He is a great guy that gives up his yard to hundreds of racers and spends his Memorial Day Weekend signing autographs, taking photos and announcing during the event. Yes, He does compete but the best part is watching his freestyle which he doesn't stop until his truck is broke.

Money from the entree fees & raffles buys trophies, paper, printer ink, The Pulling Sled, Etc. All the groups dumped a lot of money to get things going and I know I haven't taken a dime back from entree fees, it all goes back into the club to buy things that we need to make our events better. I put my bills behind getting things going in Maryland because I dumped so much out. But No Limit R/C of Maryland is not about profit and if it ever becomes a job that is when I am getting out of it. We do this for fun and that is what it is all about.

Maxx man
02-01-2009, 05:47 PM
Oh I never questiond wether or not the money was pocketed I knew it was put to good usee I was just wondering what thats all...

Lyric
02-01-2009, 05:48 PM

02-01-2009, 05:49 PM

Lyric

same here i knew it was going to good use because mike is not that kind of person

Maxx man
02-01-2009, 05:55 PM
hmm... how could we build up some money to do that?... other then begging...

NLRCMD
02-01-2009, 05:56 PM
We are talking with the Rec center to see if we can get it down to dirt but there will never be a permanent/fixed track or track layout. That is not the way Monster Jam is and that is what we are mocking.

We are also talking with Hobbyshops around the area to hold events at their shops. We might do one in PA and we might go as far south as Alexandria, VA since we have a couple racers that drive from there. If there is a hobbyshop on the eastern shore I wouldn't be against running one there either since we get a couple guys from there too. If we could get a points "tour" that would be even better then having the races at one place all the time.

Maxx man
02-01-2009, 06:01 PM
have you checked with GPA hobbies? I know they used to have a track but had to take it down wonder if they still have the land?

and I understand that there cant be a fixed track because its monster jam but haveing dirt would be nice thats fur sure...

02-01-2009, 06:21 PM

Maxx man
02-17-2009, 04:45 PM
another question....

how long is one race if you want to call it? and do you think two battery packs will be enough or do I need more?

NLRCMD
02-18-2009, 11:49 AM
A race takes approx .20-.30 seconds depending on the size of the track we build but if you get eliminated early then you will have plenty of time to charge up before the freestyle and/or pulling.

Maxx man
02-18-2009, 04:20 PM
lol ok... I have a 2nd battery pack on the way so I should be pretty good with 3 total a 3300, 3000, 1500 all 7cells
