hmm...this might be a long shot as if it's constantly running at 230 or so, but is the added pressure from the tank causing your engine to run lean as you run down the fuel? my T-maxx runs much leaner when the tank hits about 1/2 way, when i notice it starting to hitch i "burp" the tank - i just pop the lid for a second and the extra pressure can escape. Worth a shot anyway.

Are you tuning the engine at 230 or when you start it? You should always tune when the engine is up to full running temperature. If you race the truck, this may mean you have to start warming the engine up the race before. Also what plug are you using? What fuel? You should be running 30%. Plug depends on the size track and conditons.
