thats awsome!!!!!! but it kinda stinks for us slash drivers because its associated there stuph is always top of the line compared to everything else even though the slash is awsome I dont think it will be as good at racing as that associated but the slash will probebly stay the ultimant basher;)

the tower price is the msrp, tower posts the msrp untill they get the product in, the msrp is never the true selling price.

How do you all figure the SC10 is gonna be competition for the Slash . The Slash is 1/8 scale and the SC10 is 1/10 scale . Alot of people did the same thing when they were comparing the Slash to the Thunder Tech truck , again the Slash 1/8 scale -Thunder Tech 1/10 scale . As much as i love my Thunder Tech i do admit the SC10 is gonna be more of a competitor to it than the Slash since the Thunder Tech and SC10 are at least the same scale .

The slash is 1/10 scale, it just looks so large because the body covers the wheels. It's really not much bigger than a rustler.

ya my friend has a rusty and the wheel bases were about the same...

I stand corrected but still dont think the slash will ever be as good as an associated truck look at all the racing heritage the sc-10 has it can basically trace its roots back to the original rc10-t

It's true Associated's SC10 will probably be a much more capable racer when compared to the Slash. Let's face it though the Slash was never really meant to be a serious racer, just a fun little truck to go bashing with. I may end up having to part with my slash for one of these.

yes the sc10 is definetly from a much better racing backround and the slash was desined for bashing and it does that better then anything on the market in my opinion... but Im not gunna get rid of my slash have. I have to much money into it and I dont want to be a bandwagon kinda person

it must be 2wd because the front assembly is slanted inward like an electric 2wd buggy

it depends on what your gunna do... if you mostly bash buy the slash(lol Im a poet and I dont even know it) but If your gunna do more racing buy the sc10 but the sc 10 is much more expensive (probebly around $280 rtr) In my opinion the sc10 doesnt look nearly as durable as the slash but thats just me. the sc10 has a multi time world champ as a base so its probebly gunna race better... although I saw a vid on youtube (look up associated sc10 should be on the top) and the sc10 didnt look nearly as scale when it was driving around it actually looked like just a t4 with a bigger shell so if you want a little more realism buy the slash. another thing is the slash is water proof wich is one of the most fun things ever and the sc10 isnt but the sc10 has much better electrics that come with it so its all in what you want to do bash or race.

The SC10 is around $195 and the Slash is $200 on Tower hobbies. The SC10 is slightly cheaper, but it comes as a kit and requires stuff like the radio and servos so the $195 you spend on the kit will quickly turn into about a $300 investment when it's all said and done. If you love kits and you want a capable racer I would go with the SC10. If your looking for a fun truck to just go bash without having to worry about parts breaking you can't go wrong with the Slash. It comes pre-assmebled and ready to go right out of the box (assuming you have a battery and charger). In either case, Associated and Traxxas are great companies so which ever vehicle you choose you won't be dissapointed. If money is no object and you really wan't to see which one you like best, buy both!;)

my local Pep Boys has the Slash for $199 with battery and charger. pretty good deal actually for someone just getting into the hobby. SC10 is much more expensive once you figure everything in.

I wish I could afford one of those but my list is to long to add one of these:(

In my opion if I was buying to race I would have to go with the sc10 but If you plan any any bashing time I would go with the Slash. At my loacal track the T4's are not as durable as the Traxxas Slash. The T4 is the platform that the sc10 is based on . Most of Traxxas parts are a little cheaper and almost al LHS have a very good supply of the parts.
