Been trying to sort through stuff for the move and found this chassis/body that had been collecting dust.

Instead of cleaning like I should've been, I dusted it off tonight and started building. (so I guess I could say I was cleaning - I did dust it off :))

RC4WD black Bruiser/Mounty chassis
RC4WD T-Rex 60 aluminum axles
RCP Chino skid
Tamiya CR-01 planetary transmission

How it's sitting as of now. Mocked up with MSD beadlocks and RC4WD Crushers. Will go with either Flat Irons or Trail Doc XLs later.

Front leaf springs are from the Hi-Lift Unimog that's getting 4-links and coils.
Front shocks will be those TLT shocks turned the rest of the way down on the lathe. Also need to flip the U-bolts on the front.

Made the beginnings of an upper 4-link mount for the rear end out of 1/4 and 1/8 in steel. Once I decide on how I want to make the last bit of the mount that'll get brazed on. Guess it depends on how much effort I want to put into it. :p

CR-01 Planetary on the RCP Chino skid. Had two of these transmissions here...might as well put them to use. That motor is a Fantom 55 turn for now.

Would liked to have been able to 4-link the rear tonight but I'm just too tired.

But it's progress. :D

How do you like the RC4WD rock crushers? I saw that your going to get a new set of shoes, but how did you like the rock crushers?

The Rock Crushers are a nice scale tire but the performance isn't that great on a light rig. They do better with weight on them. Mud Slingers have more traction than the Crushers.

The Pro-Line Flat Irons are killer 1.9 tires for a scaler.
