I had a great time!!!!! everybody that I talked to was nice and everything was well origized... the only complaint I have is that I couldnt hear my name being called when people were racing and there wernt enough turn marshels (I was guilty of not being a turn marshall also)... otherwise it was perfect!
are the people running electric gunna need failsafes? I know you said we need em' but I wasnt sure if that was just nitro or nitro and electric

If your esc has a failsafe built in you won't need it.

I just looked at tower and they dont carry a failsafe for electric cars... the failsafes are desined for cars that use reciever packs which are between 4-5 cells and I run 7cells... do you know of any electric car failsafes?

I like this one. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHLV3&P=ML
The thing is that your ESC drops the volts to your Rx to 6v so any Failsafe will work.
Try this... Turn on your truck and Tx. With the wheels off the ground run the truck at full throttle and turn off the Tx. If the truck doesn't stop you will need a failsafe or need to re-program your esc.

what the heck is a fail safe

If I remember correctly, a fail safe is something that turns off your vehicle to keep it from going berserk if you lose radio contact with the reciever. I could be wrong though.

I found out anyone who runs a nitro truck is aware of the danger of a runaway. If the batteries are low, you run into radio interference, or run out of radio range, the servo will continue to do the last thing you told it. More often than not, it's full speed ahead. This can cause many problems, such as a full speed crash or a blown motor. A failsafe takes over when these conditions occur and returns the throttle servo to a preset position. So instead of running away, the truck's throttle will return to neutral or apply the brakes.

If you show up before your class you can be put at the bottom of the bracket for late entry. There is always May and the rest of the year. We might have a Cash Race on the 3rd or 4th week of April. Nothing planned yet tho.
