Hi, im some what new and i was wondering whats better? Oh, and i had plenty of experience with other electric and a nitro rustler. And I was wondering what has better durability, because R.C.'s seem to break around me >.<
P.S. feel free to move my thread i didnt know where to put it!

um... I have a slash and its majorly durable... the only semi week point is the caster blocks but rpm makes new ones that are plastic but are almost as tough as aluminum I dont know about the slayer though

The Slash is unbelievable durable and pretty fun to bash around with right out of the box, plus it comes at a price you really can't beat. The slayer is cool because it is 4wd but becase it is nitro I really don't know a whole lot about it.
I wouldn't go with an SC10 or SC8 unless your going racing because it sounds like those trucks were designed for racing.

ya and theres no way the sc10 will be as durable as the slash... its based of the t4 wich is durrable but not nearly as much as the slash...

If price is not an issue I would get a slayer, buy a brushless conversion kit for it, and sell the engine and other nitro components to get a good brushless system.

that would be awsome!!!! Ive wanted to get a nitro car and make it BL but thats really pricy and sometimes I want instant gratification... but I still love my kits:D

I owned a Slayer for a few weeks. IMO, it is the best car/truck traxxas has ever released. I thought it was super fast and responsive, fun to drive( watch out for roll overs.) and did not break at all. I thought it performed much like the "real deal". 4wd really made it easy to control in the sand and loose dirt. I give it a 9.75 out of 10.
I would love to try out a Slash, it looks like some fun, plus it is water proof. I have never heard any Slash owner say he or she regrets the purchase.
I sold the Slayer because I wanted out of nitro, and now I regret gettin rid of it and the Revo. My dumb a$$ fault, it will not happen again. Right now I am focused on selling off some stuff to purchace a Summit. I hope to have most of the money Monday Morning. I am selling 2 guns and a Snap On top tool box. That will be around 400-450, so I will be that much closer to owning the Summit.

get a slash and put a brushless system in it... it will still be cheaper then the slayer and plus... electric beats nitro!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive even proved it at my last race... I beat a guy that had a slayer and we were both driving really well:D btw ive got a vxl slash:)

Heck yes! IMO if etheir are eletric the Slash wins. The revo suspension I've never been a big fan of. Never know why, but I'd go slash with a VXL or IMO a better system, a sidewinder with 5400 KV motor and a 2s Lipo.

the vxl system is water resistant not water proof... so going through mud is fine but no more puddles...
