the tt01 d is like the best drifter ever! lol yes the tt01 is good, very good but it depends on the model, i have a friend (yeah, i gotta lot of friends that are rc'ers lol) who bought the tt01d and went from box to drifting in seconeds, its a very popular car and has a few hop-ups, not as many as a pede or rusty, but by any other standard it has plenty

I would be mostly going for some grip. I can drift any 4wd car or truck on the parking lot I run on. It is very slick. Grip is the key here. Can it grip and not flip. If it tells you anything a stock tc4 with stock rubber, revo w/stock rubber, e-maxx stock rubber, even xl5 rusty and vxl pede minus the vxl part with stock rubber, all of them are good drifters on this surface, some are great. Mini T cannot drift it though...to much rear wheel spin or lack of front traction, no inbetween.

I made an offer for a TT01 drifter. It is a roller, but that means I have room to look everything over well, and break down the car easier. Place things where I want them, just better imo. I will be trading a mini t for it if it goes through, so I am happy.

it dosent have much ajustability ya know, but outa the box they do very good, all ya really need is abs tires or home made pvc tires and you can run circles round a mini-t:D, the only issues that my friend had now that i really think about it is the difficulty ajusting and replacing the spur because of the way the rear assembly is designed and the soft stock main shaft, but they sell aluminum shafts that are drop-ins, the stock motor is good and you really dont need much to make it go, but all in all its a good beginer drifter and bash-drifter

Phil, there are a few TB02 kits out on the bay for about $70 NIB....i picked one up and it made an awesome grip car, and i have since converted it to drift. I have a few pics here on RCD: Pics Here (http://rcdriver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2894&highlight=TB02)
Not sure what you are looking at for a price range, but the TB02 is a far better car imo than the TT01 and can't beat the price. Ball diffs, oil shocks, bearings and turnbuckles standard. Only thing i added was the drift tires and a set of swaybars. Very happy with the car overall.

Where were you a few weeks ago, gosh. I am trading my mini t for it, so no loss to me there. I am really only looking for something on road to drive. I perfur a grip style as drifting tires would be to slick where I am going to be running.

Here are a few pics of the TT-01 I recieved. It has a ton of extra parts, but the body was for another car so I need to drill new body post holes. I have a Ford Flareside truck body that needs paint and cut. I hope to have this going soon. I think I will share elecs. with the RJ speed or pede/rusty for now till I get everything built up.

Looks good. What motor do you plan on putting in there?

Most likely a 19t trinity camillion pro 2. An AE speed control. I think that a 19t may be better suited as the lot I will run in is slick as h%*l anyways, then add pvc tires, well, a 55t may work out best, lol.

He made enough dough to retire. Now he sits on the beach at daytona and watches the pretty girls prancing by. I liked Ernie also, but Sr. was the man. Now I gotta root for smoke

Some shots of the crappy turn out of my paint job. The first time I used liquid mask. I guess it leaves a residue after you peel it. I was under the asumption it was peel and paint. The chrome I used turned out silver/steel looking unless you look at the inside, then it is chrome. I spent 2 and a half days on this, and I think it is worse than the 20 minute jobs I have done in the past. Like the rusty and tc4 bodies I did, rush job, masking tape, and still turned out better. maybe it was the pactra and testors paint I used.

I found out the yellow paint was bad, it was just not sticking to anything very well. I have no idea why the chrome paint ended up steel looking rather than chrome. It may be bad also. Both were testors brand. The red was fascolor I think, and it turned out very good. Nope, it was Parma, not fascolor.
