Hi all,
I just got a 4 tech off of rcu and I realized that since it has the ez start instead of a pull start that I don't know how to prime the engine without flooding it. So I thought I would ask for help. Usually with a pull start I would just plug the stinger and give it enough pulls to prime the engine and start it......no big deal. With the ez start I don't want to flood it so I'm thinking that's not a good way to go. I would try to pull the fuel line off of my exhaust, but as you can see from the pix that's not really an option either because the receiver box makes it a pretty tight fit. I also noticed that the wire to warm the glow plug doesn't seem to want to work, which is no big deal I can always just use my glow ignitor, but I was wondering if it is possible to replace just that one wire without replacing the whole ez start unit and/or the wire harness for it. I've included several pix of the engine area so hopefully that will help. As always thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Finger on the stinger works fine with the EX start, just keep an eye on the fuel tubing and let off the stinger once you see fuel hit the carb. Shouldn't flood that way! Been starting my revo that way for years.

i have always ditched that starter wire and used a glow ignitor. After time, that piece that connects to the glow plug tends to get loose and makes starting mroe difficult. i usually just cut it off. you might be able to use pliers to crimp it on the plug better, but i recommend just going without it. Less hassle in the long run.
