Venom Pro-Charger Blues

I've purchased a Venom Pro Charger and I'm having some troubles, the fan on the charger has not even turned on yet. The display turns on when I plug the charger in but when I try to charge or discharge any type of battery (Nicad or NiMh) that I use, the thing just beeps and flashes messages that don't make sense. Can anyone offer any advise ? Now that I have purchased this brand of charger, and two of their battery packs I have heard stories of problems with the packs too, is this true ?

I havent had problems with my packs but they wernt as "new" as they could be... one or more of the cells were old and that cut its performace...

What are the messages it is showing?

Hoepfully you have the manual, it is best source of info.

try the fuses. that is all I can suggest
