ok so i just bought a new dremal yesturday to replace my old dremal, it was very reliable but finaly gave out in december, so anyway i thought id post up some prices to help people who are looking for one as well, the dremal 300, which is what i bought, normaly goes for about 95 bucks, i got it for 50 bucks at wallmart, and the 400, one of dremals top of the line corded models normaly goes for 120, wallmart was selling it for 75! if your looking for a new or your first dremal, i suggest looking at wallmart!
note: your local wallmart might not have the same prices. also where i live, most prices are jacked up a lot so the "normal prices" might not be the same as yours.

At Christmas I got a Dremel clone on a doorbuster at Ace Hardware for $9.
Works just as well for as much as I use one.

That is only because dentist use air dremels if you will haha. It is sort of spooky though since your thinking about how you could so use that tip to grind that plastic peice you just cant get right wile the dentist is hackign away at your mouth. haha:D

I though of that cuz that is what I was thinking today at the dentist. The good part is that you cant even feel the pain when you are so spaced out. lol

yeah i was going nuts without my dremal and wound up using my buds but when he took it back i felt so handicaped, i like the 300 though, the only issue is that the way i hold it i have accidently pushed down the button at the front that locks the shaft when it was spinning but thats my fault:p anyway yeah the dremal is my best friend in my tool box

we have a model 800 (li-po cordless, we went all the way) and something happened
so now its top speed or nothing, battery lights dont work, no voltage cut-off,
and the saftey-stall dosent work either. but still turns and i love it!:D

Not sure what model it is, but I got a decent deal on a li-ion dremel. Came with spare batt, charger, attachments, ect. I think it is brushless cause it is almost twice the rpm as my last 2 dremels. I love it, and will never ever ever get a, did I mention never ever ever, corded dremel again. I like the versatility to run out to the pit lane to chop something, or not be handicapped by the leanth of the cord, or having to be stationary at the work bench.

i have never had a problem with my old dremal, it just saw too much abuse and was a very old model, the new one runs great and i never have down time between batts, i dont need 1000000 rpms either, just enough to cut and cut consistantly! same goes for my construction and demo tools, i perfer corded tools by far, for example my worm drive, drill, sawzall, and hammerdrill. they last forever too. my worm drive was my dads from wayyyy back as were the sawzall, hammerdrill and drill, they are as old or older than me! my disk grinder has also taken quite a beating and i got that one from a garage sale! the only tools that are batt powered are the dewalt screw gun and chepo black & decker powertool set
anyway, to each their own :D
