I heard in another forum that the Triple X is going to be discontinue well it looks cool any ways take good care of it you never kno, yeah man that bug look very nice can you get pics of it? is that a 1.6 or 1.8 liter? I'm searching for one for a future project.

iv herd the same roomers about the XXXT. that truck has been out for about 10 years. it seems manufactures come out with new trucks like that about every 6 years so they are a bit overdo, so it wouldn't surprise me if Losi replaced the truck with in a year or two. the truck im running was bought about a month after the XXXT was released. its got a broken front A arm on it right now (origional part finally let go) but parts are still easy to come by. its going to suck for me when they finally do discontinue it cause i don't have the money to go buy a new truck right now


the bug, i guess ill throw in this post to what the heck.
its a 71 super beetle. super beetle means it has McPherson strut front suspension. its got a "stock" 1600cc duel port engine in it. iv got a 1776cc (stock crank, bigger bore) for it, but i wrecked it and need to have some machine work done before i can rebuild it. front suspension is set for a 3" drop (using adjustable struts), back is stock height. interior is stock minus the stereo. all new body rubber and seals, all new wiring, new paint. new headliner, new carpet, new dash, its not perfect and has a few minor things i still need to do to it, but its cool. i cruise it everywhere. im a member of the air demons vw club based out of orange county ca. (www.myspace.com/airdemons) hit up all the local shows. its good times

Dude thats one nice VW Bug they are really hard to get around here, at least in my area. How much would one like that runs for? I'm planing to sell my 72 Datsun cause I want to build a Baja Bug, I ran out of space for vehicles and my wife is driving me crazy in a good way lol (nice car man)

my car as it sits i could get $3,500 - $4,000 for. i originally bought it for $2,800 all stock and in good, aged but well taken care of condition. prices for VW's are skyrocketing right now especially for early cars (67 and older). VW's are all over out here. i can still pull late model (68 and newer) projects out of driveways and backyards for about a grand.

if you want to build a baja, find an unfinshed baja project or a car that's already been cut or a car that's damaged front and/or rear. cars with good sheet metal are getting hard to come buy and can be worth a small fortune if the sheet metal is in tact. a baja will never be worth as much as a car with a stock body, that's just how it is.
i would actually recommend finding a 69 or newer standard bug (as appose to a super beetle, you can't baja a super beetle) as a starting point for a baja project. strictly because parts are easier to find and usually cheaper, the cars them selves are easier to find, cheaper and usually in better shape. they have IRS (instead of swing axle) you can get more suspension travel, a better ride, and less wheel camber and are stronger. they came with the 1600 engine, which is the engine you start with when building a performance engine. plus no one seems to care as much about late models as they do about early cars so if you cut it up its not as big of a deal
