Pointes West is always a blast.
One of the nicest spots I've crawled.
Will miss this place when I move to Connecticut. :(

Moving? That sucks was hoping to meet up with ya when my unit returns to the states. That's some sick looking trucks. I might have to get into this crawler craze....I'm a sucker for scale looking things. Oh, and I never thought I'd see a rusting R/C truck before. That guy has got detail down!

Way Nice fellas, I have been looking for a little motivation to build a crawler.Wife got me a Tamiya TLT-1 MaxCrawler for Xmas this past year.I haven't even opened the box but once to make a list of Hop-Ups and supplies I will need to do it right. Was put back by the total of another $1500 into my R/C addiction:eek: .I was even thinking of selling something on the shelve to pay for it,but that would defeat the piont of owning a collection.Just have to build a few more trucks for LHS custemers.Later,WrenchHead.

My wife is headed for Iraq in Jan.
She's been told 15 months, back for nine, then gone for another 15. :(
That rusted truck is built from foam and covered with epoxy. Look for Stu on the forums under the handle Old Busted Hotness.
Suckfish...I hope so! It's hard to beat a place like Pointes West. Sun, water...nice stuff.

Jason, that sucks. What unit is she in? Active or Reserve? I'm guessing active. But back for nine months then redeploying. I wonder if that's a rumor. Because I'm 3ID out of Stewart and I believe after this 15months, we'll be back for at least a year. I just re-enlisted and one of the perks was to get a 12month stabilization. So regardless, I'll be RC'ing for a year back in the states when I get back!

Oh, and I like that Tamiya F150. I'm thinking of picking one of them up. However, I want to build a scale tow rig with trailer. I'm looking to pick up a 1/8th dirt oval car. So what are my options out there to build a tow rig that won't look small compared to the 1/8th sprinter?

1/6 scale body from places like Toys R Us or Wally World.

There's a group of guys in Atlanta, a guy in Fitzgerald, a few guys here in Augusta.
That's the bad thing about living here. Not a bunch of guys in the immediate area that are into crawling.
