One im building at the moment folks its 7ft 9 inches long and should hit some serious speed, and loads of noise. The jet is a performance pulsejet pushing out a good few kilos of thrust. The jet, rear wheels and rear wing are mounted. This has taken sevarel months and im sure that there will be many, many more until the car is complete. I want to build one of the fastest rc cars, and i think that im on to a real:D winner here!!!!!!

Hi rick, The rear wheels are Go-kart front wheels (£44 from any karting store or E-BAY ) for the pair, they are around 10 inches in dia. The rear shafts are 17mm dia steel that has been machined and taped for the wheels to fit on, and the shafts are fitted to the chassis with a nut. As they are two separate shafts it was critical to make sure that they were fitted identicaly to each side of the chassis, so they are the right hight and position so that the wheels run true, and in line. If they were wrong then the whole chassis would have been scrapped. Ive still got a way to go but i recon that the car will look great, make LOADS of noise and really shift. I was hoping to hit over 100mph with it, so fingers crossed. cheers for now rick JETMAN

Jet engine on an R/C car you'd have to be absolutely nuts!!! But hey I myself have thought of the idea as well I have even thought of taking a Snowmobile engine and strapping it onto to something R/C. I guess it's like they say the possibilities of this hobby are endless and I know one thing for sure no matter how fast it is speed and sheer power never gets boring!!! Hope it all works out man!
