The new PE-2 has been updated with some significant improvements over the original. The red sighting laser is stronger, there is a more positive button action, it has a backlit display, max temp reading is always active, and we have increased temperature range to 662F (easily switchable to Celsius). The PE-2 also features a tight infrared cone ratio of 6:1 (D:S ratio, aka Field of View) making temperature measurements from a distance a breeze!
As with our other Temp Guns, there is a protective metal case available separately for all of $10 (includes an extra set of batteries and wrist strap as well).
