Hi guys! I'm haven't posted here in a while ! I just had emergency hernia surgery so I have a unplanned vacation :) I have a slayer that I just run around the house. I get a problem with small pebbles getting stuck between the wheel and the hub. Any ideas on how to stop this?? If it had the revo reverse trans, I could just back up a little. Thanks for the help!!

Welcome back! hope you are feeling better!

um....all i can say is run somewhere where the rocks are smaller. i don't know if you can make shields for in there or not. best beet would to be to keep the rocks out, but you might have to make something custom to do that.

Hi, Thanks! I run it in my driveway and neighbors driveway alot. It only does it once in a while. My other trucks it is a non issue( savage .25, revo 2.5, tmaxx 3.3 Jato 3.3, nitro sport). I could try a scrap lexan cover just in front of the wheels. Ground clearance is a issue too. Maybe I should sell it for a baja 5t ! :D
Thanks for answering me!

Well, it seems to be a non issue now that it rained so much. I ran the slayer around alot and never got a rock stuck! Still gonna look into making shields.

Sheild would be the best idea, and from what I hear about the 5b, trading it would be nice also. There have been a few rolling around for about 500.00 RTR, I found one the other day 5b ss very slick for 400.00 obo, and did not have the cash, I was sick. Using Lexan would be a great inexpensive way to create a rock shield, or you may even get away with cardboard and painting it. You have alot of options there. I had the same general problem with the slayer I owned. I just moved my play ground away from gravel and into the dirt. It got just as dirty, but I did not need to unstick the rear axle.

Hi, I wish I had the money for a 5b or 5t!! I'm happy with my fleet of 7 Trucks! I'm a horder! I hadn't run any trucks in driveway or neighbors driveway in a while. Yesterday, I run alot, and swept all the small rocks out of the way. The slayer didn't give me any issues with rocks, just its throttle servo failing :( Thanks for the help, I'm gonna try to make a scale looking lexan shield and paint it like a mud flap.Hopefully it will look good. Thanks again!!

what you could do is what the pro level truggies have, a scraper of sorts, in the knuckle, you could use a peice of scrap lexan and screw it down. ill try and find a pic

i couldnt find a pic but on the rear carriers youll notice some kits have it where it is a peice of either cf or plastic a few mm's short of rubbing against the rim, it keeps clay from acumulating in the rim and throughing of the balance as well as slowing down the car because of added weight.

Thanks man! I think I saw this in the mag before. I could use the shock mounting bolt or make my own small hole to bolt it up. I'll try it out today. I have two more days of R/C Fun before my next surgery. Then two/three weeks mininum of no R/C ARGH!! :) Thanks again!!

Hi guys, been awhile. Well I found out that 1/8 scale wheels will work on my Slayer from another site. I ordered them up and I'll let you know how it goes!
