have you guys ever heard of the water break in method for electric motors. if so how is it done

ive heard of it.
in the february '06 issue (my first) they go vaguely into it in an article about tamiya racing.

Yes it is used to break in brushes on Eletric motors. Wire a battery strait onto the motor and let it run under water. I do mine, when I do, for 30 minutes, some do longer.

Yes, I have seen it done. Although that water break in is for sealed endbell motors (also known as Johnson motors) like the stock slash motor. It helps to lub the brushes, and better seats the brushes. Also because of the break in process the motor will have more power then a fresh motor with out the break in.
