Imagine how dissapointing it would be if all it was was a RTR version of their 1/10 crawler.

well what we hoped wouldnt happen did:mad: they made a rtr version of there crawler and just to make it that much more expensive they put an led system on it still dont know why you would do that to a crawler:confused:http://www.losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0104

Lol that's Losi for ya though. They make it RTR and it's a "new" vehicle. This might have been kinda annoying if I hadn't seen it coming a mile away.

you hit the head right on the nail. advertisers can call ANYTHING new so long as its changed in any way.
more fun advertising facts: anything can be called "best", but "better" means best: "best" = equal to, and "better" = best. e.g. best at cleaning windows.
the word "virtually" means squat, yet we think its a solid garuntee. e.g. vitually garunteed to eliminate stains.
the word "like" means nothing either. we think it means "similar" but it really means nothing. e.g. for skin like peaches and cream.
advertising is fun once you know what words mean
brought to you by the Roadrunnr useless info database.

boo losi!! there supposed to make me want to buy one not make it more expensive, two thumbs down... way down, who likes rtr crawlers? wheres the fun in that, building em' is the best part
Sweet truck, I'd like to have a set of those lights for my ax-10. Most likely the price will drop when the truck is released.

X2 I like it. Most crawlers now a days are ARTR anyways. You don't build them etheir. I'm a crawler heart, and this would be the only new 2.2 comp rig I'd get.

Yeah I mean the rig itself is pretty cool but I was kinda anticipating a legitimately "new" vehicle rather than a RTR version of an already released vehicle. No doubt it's got some cool stuff on it, but I kinda had a small hope that it would be something like an E-LST.:(

While I was thumbing through that Losi site, I found the Speed NT. Basically a Jato with Losi weak a arms and easy break towers. But hey, the wheels are cool, lol. I guess that someone needs to compete with the Jato, and why not Losi. Can you guys imagine hittting a little ramp at 60 mph in that thing, you would break all sorts of stuff. But hey, it would be sweet to watch unless you are the owner. The crawler looks pretty neat, installing led's was a cool feature, gives more versatility. While I am not a big fan of Losi, they gave me an idea for my Cliff Climber. Light could be a very good thing for me for my CC, that would give a wider range of operating hours for it. I have thought of installing head and tail lights of a few of my rides before, but never have gotten around to it. The CC would benifit the most because it is a slower truck, so less chance of serious damage due to night time running.

Phil I can see a way your right, but for those on here that don't have a Comp Crawler, they work amazingly. The only minus on it is the no dig transmision, and plastic links. The ESC/ motor combo will work fantasticly. A comp crawler has worm gears, and they don't require a drag brake so the Lipo cut off ESC will work fine. No dig is a big cut, but noob crawlers will have the 45* of steering for them. Losi claws are out dated, but still one of the best crawler tires out. Buy a 1500 mah 2s Lipo, and now your ready to win.

If I ever got a crawler, I would probably go mudding with it more than anything else. They seem like they could go over and through almost anything.

Strangely enough, I prefer plastic bottom links on my crawler. They slide over rocks, instead of grabbing or getting hung up on them like aluminum does. Love the new lower links on the new axial RTR, as long as they are beefy, i'm sold.
Phil, if you want LED's, don't buy a 24.99 and up light set, you're just tossing away money. Wired up moster mo with 10 LED's for about $15 total. Picked up a few 5mm 3.7v led's at radioshack, a switch and a double AA box and soldered it all together. Easy as pie and a heckuva lot cheaper.

I found that with my Cliff Climber, it does not mud as well as one would think. The axles bottom out to easily. I had a lot better time mudding with the ol e-maxx, it took a little mud to bottom that out. Plus it had the wheel speed to sling out the mud from the treads were the crawlers will end up with their tires caked with mud providing little traction. 4 wheel steer really helps in the mud holes though.
