I didn't know the velion was waterproof. I might consider getting one for my maxx down the road now that I know that.

yep... you just have to be carfull in the emaxx... a single vxl system can get hot its alot of stress for a single 550 can... most people run 2... and at that point Id get a mamba monster and put the stock electrics for water bashing (I know you dont get much snow down there lol)

So is the Mamba like the meanest brushless system of them all?

pretty much... I think it can take the most volts (you can plug up two 3s lipo's 22.2volts and its insane!) and its got a much bigger higher tourqe motor... its crazy how easy it is to wheely...

I dont know what connectors you have but you cant run tamiya... my favorite are the traxxas connectors personally

I know all this cause I few guys I race with run em... and they love em!

Yea the MMM and Flux system are the meanest, tourqyest.

The fastest, not meanest, production one I know of is a MM and 9000kv motor.

Yea MOST people love deans to death, and I like them too, but with my soldering skills, a few have come apart on me. The taxxas ones have never came apart on me, and flow just as well as deans. Its all preference.

to be honest i think castle creations stuff is overrated . iam not saying there rubbish there not but a lot of this boils down to marketing . . and hype . the first mambas did nothing but smoke then they fixed that with a firm wear update . all iam saying is use your own judgment and dont follow the sheep . . all that glitters is not gold ..
