Hi all,
Just wanted to post pix of my newest toy my xtm mammoth. Trust me mammoth is the right name for this thing, it's HUGE! I don't know about anyone else but I look at that chassis with it's low center of gravity and it's long wheel base and it just screams truggy to me! I know the bodies aren't exactly truggy material, but that's what I need help with is finding a body and wing to make it into one, so if anyone knows of a good place to find some 1/8 scale truggy goodies let me know. And now the pix......ENJOY!

That hummer looks sick on there, I'd say keep it. Low and fast is the name of the game.

OK I'm starting to think I have some kind of nitro curse or something. I tried to run it a little while ago and it did the same thing the t-maxx does. It idles fine like it could run for days, but as soon as I give it some throttle, it dies. It is fairly cold here in the day time, like 40s and 30s range. So my question is how do I tune the engine? Richer or leaner? It's a used truck, but as you can see in the pix, it's not abused, which makes me think it's more of a tuning problem rather then a problem with the engine. As always thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Nitro tuning has always been a pain, but you always need to richen it up when it's cold outside. If you know where it come from & the weather conditions it was last ran in it will help in getting it corrected.
Good luck with it !

Don't give up on 'er. About the wing, you could look at some E Revo wings to see it you can make one work, or look into 1/8th buggy wings. Some of those may be an almost direct fit. This is the great thing about rc, experimentation. Dale just gave his mini slash a make over and I think it it the best looking mini traxxas around. You can do so much with this thing, although it already looks very nice. A rear wing will look so nice on there. I think what I would try to find a forum or thread where some people have and race these. Talk to them, find what parts or websites they use. You never know what kind of goodies people have found to make these big guys a contender. Good luck with 'er. Looks like a good time.

If you are looking for a wing, go to HobbyPeople or E Bay and pick up a wing kit for the Mammoth Pro, it bolts right on.

actually I'm trying to go all electric since that's all that's raced around here anymore, so I traded my xtm mammoth for a losi speed-t and I traded the t-maxx for 2 lipo batts. venom lipo charger/balancer with hobico power supply 2 traxxas vxl motor/esc set ups, and some nimh batteries. So if anyone has a slash or e-maxx roller they want to trade for one of the traxxas vxl motor/esc combos let me know. I have an account on rcu with positive feedback so we could trade on there.
