Someone on another forum *coughrccacough* asked about an article Bob Hastings did on painting neon tubes and lightning, from back in 2001. He had the text but no pictures. Anyone got the pictures that go with the tutorial?

Well dave, I don't have any help for you, but a while ago when the RCdriver forums were on Maxxtraxx and RCTECH.net I asked for pictures of the Oscar the grouch truck that Bob did. I had had a fire that destroyed many of my RCdriver back issues. Bob replied that he would email me the pictures but that was years ago (sniff sniff). I have never seen the picture (trying to hold back the tears). Bob must hate me ( now openly weeping).:( :(

That fault goes on my shoulders... I am sorry to say.
I had the Grouch truck in my possession and was supposed to follow up. Bob is off the hook for this one. So Sorry:(

Maybe it's time to revisit the illuminated effects...in the meantime let's toss out this flashback. Sorry for the delay...

I confess, it was I who wanted the pictures that went with that article. You did several different effects but I thought the lightning was really cool.
I found one of the pics on your picture site (can't remember which one you use right now...).
Now that my truck has a body - and a nice new clear one of the way - I'll be gathering my wits and courage to tackle a body.
Nice article on your Indy project BTW!!
