so i was wondering what gearing people have found to work best with drifting. i am running a hpi sprint 2 with the flux and a 2s 3000 35c lipo. i just finished putting it back together for this year, last year it was the stock brushed motor. also what pitch is best to run? thanks in advance

the point of drifting is getting the tires to spin with power, so you want something low, to get them spinning, but you not so low that wheelspeed is gone. thats my thinking. but with b-less power, you may not have to change it.
and pitch is just a measurement of tooth size. e.g. in 32 pitch gears (nitro), a 12 tooth gear hooked up to a 48 tooth gear (12/48 = 4:1), is equal to a 64 pitch 20 tooth next to a 80 tooth (20/80 = 4:1).
the ratio doesnt change, just the individual tooth size.
stock pitch (48p) is all you need.

thanks man i just wasn't sure if on the pitch there was a advantage to using one. so i was running a 87 spur with 22 pinion, im thinking about trying a 96 spur with 20 pinion. its all i have laying around. i looked up what pitch i am running and its hpis 48p. you guys think this will be good or do i need to buy stuff in between thanks again

never hurts to have different gears to dial in you stuff. if your going to get pinions i suggest losi, ive tried a ton of different brands from traxxas to academy to robinsonracing and so far my losi pinions have been the best, they last forever and ive yet to see any wear in them whatsoever, liked them so much that ive gotten rid of all my other brand pinions.
