Hey All; So I was working on some things the other day and took some pics along the way. So yesterday I had seen some red paperclips in the drawer of my computer desk. Well today they became scale tow hooks on a couple of rigs. Thought you guys might like to see how I did this and might want to use it sometime down the road on a build. OK then how about I get started. Hope this Helps. L8R,Wrench.

OK so I spotted a few red paper clips in my desk and converted them to scale tow hook. And I took them. Wife says why are you taking so many. I said babe I got a few rigs, right.lol

Tools needed are some wire cuttters / strippers and some dikes. Also a way to measure out you work.

So I measure how long I want my U hooks I need to cut. I usually cut right above the small bend so you get 2 U hooks. One large and one smaller.

Then cut where it is marked.

Should have 3 pieces left. 2 hooks and a scap piece.

Now take and put 2 bends in the clip to form a double u .

Now do the same bend again in the oposite direction. It will look like these when done.

So now just use your hook to measure for 2 dots to mark where you will drilll the mounting holes.

Now just pop the tow hook into the holes and fold over. Now glue into place with a large dab of your favorite bonding agent. Then paint the same color and the surrounding area to blend it a bit.Once glue drys it is real strong surprisingly.
