had fun with $7 of 3/16 steel. If I can get some dirt cheap parts and electronics, It'll be something to run around without having to worry about breaking parts.

the idea is an electric runner with the camaro body blacked out, with the option of getting another one to make it a T/A car.

filled in the frame with more bars, I'll get pictures soon.

I'm searching ebay for parts cars, and I cant narrow down what I'm looking for. It needs to be 1/10 electric on road, indy suspension, and AWD doesnt matter, I'd take out the drive parts to make it 2wd. any suggestions for what to look for? I need suspension parts, steering servo, and drivetrain minus motor.

Very nice work on the frame!

keep checking for rollers...a nitro roller would probably be best as most of the suspension parts are modular, and you could cut an aluminim chassis to the right length as needed, and can add in an electric tranny very easily. Most electrics are based on a plastic molded chassis which is a little harder (though not impossible) to work with. Nitro RS4's in particluar are very easy to work with. Check out redcats as well: great for cheap parts.

thank you for the kind words.

I think I narrowed down what I'm looking for to either a gear or shaft driven roller. is it possible to convert an RS4 to either? I was thinking of having the tube frame, with separate plate frames removable from the bottom, but the project is till pretty vague.

Shaft driven RS4, yes. Belt driven RS4 - no.

Something like this would be perfect to raid drivetrain parts from: LINK (http://cgi.ebay.com/HPI-RS4-Evo-Roller-2-Speed-Transmission-HPI-Sevos-/110569009703?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19be6d3227)
