Hey Guys;This months Magazine tip for the buggy A-arm dirt deflectors is an awsome project.I did mine last week and they came out great. I installed them on my Sportwerks Turmiol.Kool Idea BTW.I made mine out of some scrap lexan with a carbon fiber weave in it I had left over from one of my Tamiya touring car bodies with the carbon fiber pattern in it.These were left over fender wells I cut out but I kept them knowing I would one day find a use for them.Well I did finally after about 4 years.The job only took about an hour or so.I now have to build a few for some friends at the LHS.(lazy buggers)I will post some photos as soon as I get my camera back from a friend I lent it to that went on Vaca. last week.Should have it back tonight. Hey guys; Well I used my buggy last weekend at the offroad track and these things worked like a superhero.I bought the shock covers to keep all the dirt off my shock shafts ,but now there was no dirt on my a-arms or shocks. I made up a batch of about 5or6 pairs for my buds at the LHS,I know I
'm a suck up but they picked up my bill when I went to check out.It wasn't much just about $30 worth of stuff but they said it was on the house for hooking them up.Then the owner calls me on Mon. and says can he have 10 more pair he sold the ones I made for them for $5 a set.I don't have any more scrap Lexan.So I went and found some clear 18"x18'' Lexan sheets at the local Ace Hardware and they came out fine.I just left them clear and let them paint them whatever color they want.When I dropped themy off at the LHS the gave me a $20 bill for my troubles.I told them to keep it and run a tab for me. I want a new Losi Mini-T. Later,Wrench.
