I'm letting it all out of the tank with this one. Starting with an Aoshima FJ40 hardbody (no Bushwhacker for me) and an MSD BB-51 chassis (none finer), the parts list will also include a Novak Rooster Crawler, RC4WD T-Rex 60 axles, one-off custom wheels, HPI Geolandars (probably narrowed), a full interior and working lights.
So here's the pics:

The body and chassis fit like they were made for each other. Very little of the chassis shows beneath the rockers, but there's not much room for a transmission either. So I went with a divorced t-case:

The t-case is a Pede tranny with the motor plate cut off, and a longer Jato input shaft installed. TLT cups and bone link it to a GD600 and Integy 55t.

Short-bus yellow, no. Olive green, yes.

Frame extension and front bumper fabricated from br**** with tow hooks.

Sorry, forgot. The bumper is made from officers :p
Made some body armor from styrene diamond-plate:

And converted it to left-hand drive and made a T-shirt for the driver. He doesn't seem to like it; maybe it itches.

More later.

Finished, for now. Still got a few tweaks to do, but it runs and drives surprisingly well for a nearly-20-pound hog.

Added some surface rust to the hood & fenders

A light coat of flat clear on the windshield. Looks like my wiper blades are shot!

Made some bungee cords from hair-bands and steel wire, and the tool box carries repair tools. Tool box came from an overseas candy distributor. Haven't seen it in the states.

Lit up the reverse lights with a servo and micro-switch. It's Y-harnessed with the speed control, so when I reverse the throttle, the lights come on.

Added another servo up front and made the winch functional. The dummy winch is from the Tamiya Wild Willy.

I read about this over at rcccrawlers.com and really like the rig. Also the "John Cena" action figure makes me smile, he looks so angry all the time.
