What type of tires do you most often run on the carpet ?

I race a Duratrax Evader ST at the local carpet track in Syracuse, NY. I use BSR Foam tires. (30-35 hardness) I race in the stock truck class.

I missed all of the new posts here :o :o

Any ways, I would use what Kevin posted. If you have too much steering (which you will on carpet with foams) use a tire with a higer shore rating (bigger #) as they are a little harder.

at MRCR (www.michianarc.com (http://www.michianarc.com)) we run a carpted stadium truck class (where evil3 races) and our guys are mostly running TM racing tires. they are a little less expensive then the bsr's.

In addition, we also buy just foams and mount them to std rims by sanding/grinding off all the ribs with the exception of the outside rib...

Reason is, leaving the ouside edges leaves a little protection for the foam from getting cut on the board edges, other trucks, ramps etc.

For compound, we stick with green rears, blue fronts. TM has all sorts of other compounds, but they are more expensive then greens and blues.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to try a set, we sell them at our track.

Hope this helps.

Run it. Carpet stadium is some of my favorite racing. It's clean, quiet, and exciting. The Rustler is a very durable truck so you will have a blast with it on an carpet off road track.
