Stripped Screw Holes
Heres a way that works great to permanently repair stripped bolt holes.
You will need:
A drill index
wo size thread taps
JB Weld
1) Drill the hole bigger then the original size a couple of drill sizes usually works best
2) Tap in some threads(not for a screw but to hold for the JB weld to grip)
3) Fill the hole with JB weld and let fully cure
4) Drill out the hole to the size that the tap calls for
5) Tap new threads
I know this may take some time and it's a whole lot easier to just buy new parts but some just cant afford a new chassis
or even new arms every time the strip a bolt hole and this is a cheap and easy way to get'er done.....
