I need help with my new sedan

I just bought a tc5 with a novak 3.5r motor in it. I am using venom 3000 battery and a spectrum DX 2.0 radio system and everytime I try to completely floor it the car jerks forward and i lose the receiver connection for about 5 seconds and then I get control back. If pull the throttle halfway it drives fine. Any ideas for a fix?

Batteries, you need better batteries. we have this same problem with brushless 1/18ths, as our batteries don't supply enough current and with the 3.5 you need excellent batteries, try some 4200s side by side cells would be best as stick packs tend not to be made for race currents, and you're pulling some of the highest current on the market :)

kiwirevo is right. Even if you're gonna parking lot race, you NEED 3800 batts at least, 4200 is better. Are you using Tamiya connectors?

Thanks everybody. I got deans connectors and an smc 4200 battery. It works great now.
