I did this for a Beckworks Cobra crawler...just an easy snake skin effect that doesn't take too long.

Masked the design with 1/16" masking tape.

Grabbed a piece of cardboard and bent it a few times so I could hold it with one hand and easily hold a contour with it.

Started with Parma Faskolor Fasflip Jade and placed the cardboard along each of the masked lines then sprayed the Fasflip Jade by aiming at the corner where the cardboard rested against the panel (along the masked lines)

Then I followed along the other set of masked lines with the Fasflip Jade...just spraying light coats at the corner of the cardboard and the panel.

Changed to Parma's Faspearl Black and backed the entire panel. Depending how you look at it, Faspearl Black has a gold-ish brown look to it.

Next I removed all the masking tape and sprayed the masked lines with Parma's Faspearl Charcoal.

Finally I backed the entire panel with Parma's Fasblack.

You'll have to disregard the noisy compressor and me being clumsy and knocking stuff off the workbench.

...and the shop is still standing! Yea!!

Great vid J! I think you know how to improve on any future ones.
Tossing the compressor outside would be good if possible, more lighting, the vid doesn't do the panels justice. The pics above are great. Maybe some butcher paper on the work bench to lighten up the back ground so your work doesn't blend in with the table top.
And try not to knock the camera over! lol

Great job!!

This was just a quickie type thing.

Told the guys I painted the panels in less than 10 minutes...they didn't believe me and I had a bunch of questions

Figured I'd shoot a quick vid. When I knocked crap over I didn't feel like starting over again...I wanted one continuous shot.

Yeah that's what I figured is that this was a quicky just to show the effect. I think it shows not only the technique, but the use of Parma's Fasflip, as well as the use of the airbrush very well.

Again, nice job! R/C paint videos are very few.
