Hi,
As the title states I'm trying to decide what engine to put in my revo 2.5. I have 3 choices,
the picco .26 $220 (incl Traxxas BB kit)
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000607445&I=LXKHE9&P=K
the RB TM523 $282
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000607445&I=LXSLK3&P=K
or the OS 21TM $280
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000607445&I=LXRTM2&P=K

i live in New Zealand and would like the most reliable, easiest to tune motor here, the fact that the RB comes with a pipe doesn't make it much more valuable to me as I have a Fantom pipe and like the look of that. I only bash so outright power isn't to important. It's gotta be reliable.
All assistance will be appreciated.
If there are other suggestions let me know.
Thanks

Those are all great choices. The Picco is a great engine with a useable power band. The RB is a great mill too, Frank runs one in his Revo and it really screams down straights. The OS is powerful and is probably the right engine for you, OS is known for being very reliable.

I've had a lot of fun with my Picco. It has plenty of power for bashing. I can get wheelies on command whenever I want. I would highly recommend this engine. By the way, if you get the Picco, i would recommend getting the Ofna engine mount for the REVO.:)

I've also just noticed the Sirio .27

Is the OS worth the difference in cost over the Picco?

Ok, I'm in RCU and just came over to this forum, and most of the people over there would say RB 523

if you're gonna stay small block, go with the 3.3 or an OS 18TM/TZ. But if you wanna go BB, go all the way and get a real big block. Keep in mind that ur revo's driveability will go down w/ the more power you throw in it.

if you can afford it NOVAROSSI is the engine to go with .... I harder ever have to tune it... from hot days to muggy days 1 hour up or down is the norm in the tuning on race days

ANd they make a .21 3 port motor that is cheaper than any of those you are looking at..
for around 180 - 200
good luck

The O.S. is going to be the most reliable. Stick with the sport versions and you get a great warranty (although a little less power). But if you are just bashing, you will probably never notice the difference anyway. An O.S. .18 will have plenty of power.
