Well, I finally got a rig, and will be tearing it all apart, and will be building a tube chasssis for it. If I remember correctly, it has the traxxas tranny, and some other things. It will be setup for full droop, and the chassis I want to look very similar to Naz t, and the gimbals. (I am still trying to decide on a design) It will be built with 3/16 solid rod. It will have front dig, and some other cool things. I am looking for a set of moabs, and I could trade my set of mashers. I know bob has seen this rig!

Not sure how this build will go, especially with my first tuber!

ok, so stripped it. I think the tranny is a pede? Can you guys tell? The guy said it was a traxxas, but didn't say what model. So, I need to lock out the rear axle. It was 4ws, now I got that all off, just trying to figure out where to mount it from. I am going to need one of those sweet 801rcc stickers! Anyway onto pics!

Alright, I FINALLY got some chassis work done on the spider. After coming back from hobby habit thursday, (thanx again bob! Recommend him for ANYTHING!!!) I put my tires and wheels together, and just tinkered with my lockouts for the rear. Well, today since I wasn't able to go to the TT, after work, I started to bend up my rod. It is looking pretty sick so far, I know it will be heavier, than most tubers, but it may also preform better too, with the extra weight. This is my first tube chassis, and I think it is coming along well so far, LMK, what you guys think!!

If you have a spare set, glue some plastic hex adapters into those Axial wheels. Several guys have had problems with the wheel hex stripping. (All of mine are glued)

Get some new (better) shocks that are about 3.5 to 4 inches eye to eye and throw the TLT shocks in the parts bin.

You need triangulation in your suspension. Most guys will triangulate the upper links so they converge at the axle. This helps keep the axles located laterally under the chassis.

Your driveshafts...use the female half at the axle. This way the outside of the female will get scratched up on the rocks instead of the male that has to slide in and out of the female (doesn't sound right...but hey).

The dog treat are for my dog when he is in my room, being a a$$...And stratching at my door.

I have a set of light aluminum wheel nuts, that fit really well in there. I think I will be Ok, what you think? Will the aluminums be better or worse? A local HS, said to run these ones, and I wouldnt have any problems.

As for my shocks, I plan to get new ones soon! These ones suck! I am just not sure what to get? How would some stock AX10 shocks work?

My suspension, I also talked to the LHS about that, and he said that I should bend my links, and decide this by measuring from my mounting location on my axle and chassis, and measuring between. Then bend the links, to the right length. How would this work in your guys opinion?

I will probably be getting new shafts, (Notice the glue+screws+2 male ends=previous owner, and getting new shafts!) I am thinking running the AX10 shafts as well? I have been putting an AX10 together for the last couple days, and these seem to be a nice setup.

Not much as been done with the spider, but heop to be finishing up my suspension issues, cleaning the chassis up, and getting it together for a local comp on the 8th, I also hope to be finishing the AX10. So LOTS OF WORK ahead of me!
