I was hoping some people could help, I am wanting to get into this fine sport but am not sure what make of car would be best. I know I want to get into sedans, I know I want to get something that I can modify with out having serch the planet for parts, I want FAST and Very FAST I have never heard of someone getting rid of a car because it was too fast. I'm not above buying used. I would like to get something of quality.

Thanks

HI,

You want something fast and it has to be sedan. That's a good start. But do you want nitro or electric??? And what about the scale??? 1/8 - 1/10 - 1/7 - 1/5 or 1/18??? How much you want to invest cause sometime, it can cost alot of money.

You can check on different manufacturers site and read about some stuff they have to offer. Like Mugen or X-ray, or Kyosho or maybe you can go with Tamiya or corally or again Team Losi or Team associated!!!

If you want to go fast, there is lypo technology but again a good brushed motor can be as fast as any lypo set-up.

It really depend on a lot of thing!!!

1. The faster you go, the faster you hit stuff.
2. Electrics don't have the tuning issues you'd have with a Nitro.
3. Nitros don't need to be constantly charged like elecs.
4. The faster you go, the faster you hit stuff.

I don't have a 4-TEC, but I have a traxxas Rustler and REVO and they are great cars. The Traxxas engines are pretty good as in they hold a tune well, and they have great power. I would definately get the 4-TEC.:)

I Love Traxxas, But the 4-Tec has a slight problem. You see, when your traveling that fast, and you hit a small rock, a hole in the asphalt, or expecially a curb....Things tend to break. But what do you expect, try hitting a gaurd rail in you family cruiser a 75 mph. I have been looking at the 4-Tec's myself, but I would demolish it the first day out. I hear that out of the box, they have alot of understeer, and like to drift alot in the turns. I run a small track and chose the Team Associated TC4. I run in the stock cl**** and with a 4200 nmhd battery, I am right at the front all the time. I say that, but I have not been in an real heat yet, just some fun laps with the top guys to beat. Out on my street, I have litterally peeled the treads off all 4 tires, TWICE, and it IS stock.
