A very good friend of mine just finished completely rebuilding his .21 converted maxx, and knowing he had no lid for it, I took it upon myself to paint one up for him.

I wanted to try a blue fire scheme to match the color scheme of his truck. The flash makes it look a bit bright, it actually looks much better in person, the flames blend in better than it shows in the pics. It has a chrome tool box, painted marker lights, and I also added a textured bed liner to it.

Nice! How did ya do the textured bed?

The bed is done with Plasti-dip in a spray can. Just mask off the bed, paint it on the outside of the body with the plasti-dip, then as it starts to dry use a 3m red scotch brite pad and press it in to the drying plasti-dip to give it the texture.

I'll have to try that. I had a Ford Ranger that had the spray in bedliner and now I know how to give my r/c truck that same look.

That looks awsome I've got a cousin of mine working on a 76' el camino body for my T-Maxx 3.3 that I know is going to look sick I'll post it when I get it.
