I am a huge Nascar fan, actually use to shoot the races for a nationally published racing magazine for a few years. So I just figured I would post up some of my nascar lids I painted for my RS4 3.

I still need to finish the Bobby Labonte car, need to put a few more contingency decals on it.

This one is the 1999 Irnie Irvan M&Ms Pontiac. The body is a Race Tech/Bolink Pontiac. The paint is Daytona yellow. The decals are Slixx 1/10 vinyl decals. None of the M&Ms overlap another one. When I put the first on on you could see where it was raised up from overlapping the other one. So I gently laid them, cut around them with a new exacto, lifted it back up, and removed the piece of the other mm that was cut from underneath it, then laid the M&M back down. It took forever but the results were well worth it.

For this one I found a 1989 Parma Ford Thunderbird body on eBay, I won the auction and started looking for some decals for older nascar paintjobs. Well I found the Havoline sponsor decals also on eBay and picked those up, since this paint scheme was always one of my favorites. Since both the body and decals had been discontinued for quite a few years finding the number decals turned out to be rather difficult. Thanks to a buddy of mine finding a set at his lhs I was finally able to complete the body. Heres a few pics of the finished product.

Actually I do have a set of Slixx Viagra decals, and a set of Eagle 1 Slixx decals, I just need to get the bodies.

Very nice work all of you. Where can I find a Nascar COT body? I would like to do a #29 Harvick car or an 88 Junior car

As far as decals, good luck with those. Slixx no longer makes nascar decals, Autographics is no longer in buisness. Your best bet would be to find someone with a vinyl cutter and get them to make you a custom set.
