I have used the Ofna Micro failsafe, the Futaba FSU-1 failsafe and the Venom failsafes. I have not had a single problem with any of them. The venom is pretty much identicle to the FSU-1. You can get it at Tower for about $24...

where do you guys set your failsafes? do you just set it so it locks the brakes or what? has this caused any sorts of problems?

Ive never had a problem with mine either and Ive used it in about 4 differant vehicles. I set mine to fully engage the brakes. One thing you should remember when using one is when you shut your vehicle off you should always turn your car off first. If you shut the controller off first the brakes lock up and then you turn the car off. This may not seem like a big deal but it is pretty hard on a servo when it is sitting at almost full lock with a load on it. I learned the hard way. Good luck
you could just get a specktrum radio:D
