I drove this truck with the rest of the RC Driver editors and it's a blast.

The prototypes we ran could've used a stiffer rear swaybar but other than that they were awesome to drive.

I can't wait for them to be released. The real fun will be racing them against one another.

I didnt get to drive the prototype but i did promote it at one of my nrctpa events i had the truck there and handed out posters for darren. Ive been to other sites forums and all they do is badmouth it. Everyone seems to hate the body or something else on the truck. I've been waiting for a long time for this truck and have done nothing but praise it and cant wait till i actually have it

This is a very cool truck & can't wait to have one myself. I see nothing odd about it at all. It is a very cool looking truck. Ive already been doing paint schemes for the truck. Im thinking a Robby Gordon lookalike, I even went out and got Monster Energy decals from a motocross bike to use on it . Im thinking about running a 19 turn motor and maybe trying some reservior shocks from Team Integy I cant wait to put this thing up against the t-4s and xxxts of the world

Red Bull does have a corr team as well as a desert team in fact in corr they just signed ricky johnson to drive the pro 2 and still have steve barlow in pro 4 . those will be f-150s heres a pic of it

yeah i heard about the corr thing. im actually pretty good friends with kyle leduc and scott taylor. i love corr racing! its pretty awesome to watch. i got 1 of the front fenders of scott taylor's f-150 and i have a couple hoods and a wheel signed by kyle. pretty good group of guys in that sport!

Yeah CORR racer's are AWESOME, unlike the experts at NASCAR, CORR drivers actually invite their fans to come to the pits. I'm friends with Scott and Jackie Douglas. Me and Jackie talk alot on the computer (mostly about the 2 dogs they have PJ and Daisey) lol. I've got a fender and door sign by Scott also. Before this Thunder Tech truck came out I had a Tamiya Ford F-150 done up in Scott's Rancho flames paint job and we displayed it in his pit when they came to Unadilla NY. I like the Leducs too but mostly Curt he reminds me alot of Ivan Stewart back in his heyday. Just totally "old school" .As for Kyle he seems like bit of a cry baby, dont get me wrong i think he's a good driver and all he just seems like he thinks everyone should just move over and let him by. As for Scott Taylor he's an awesome racer I just wish he'd pick a series and stick with it. He's basically a BIG fish in a little pond in WSORR and I dont think WSORR is gonna last anyway they just cant compete with Mr Baldwin's $. I mean other than Crandon what big races do they have. I also like Rhonda Konitzer but only cause she's hot and not for her racing ability. Anyway it was cool talking off-road racing talk again soon

and yeah i agree when kyle is racing he can be quite the lil poor sport but other than that he's pretty cool. oh man i got tha chance to shake hands with the "iron man" reat charactor! kurt is a very great guy. took care of me and my parents when we spent the day at their camp when they came to indy's fall nationals! great time! i think scottie should get his feet wet with baja1000 type racing series! and once again i really think he's gotta find a spot and stay there! i really didnt know that there were any CORR fans out there anymore! its kool to get to meet other fellow CORR fans!

yeah i read that after i posted this...uhhgg im sorry to get your hopes up bud! it is 1/8th scale gas power. so it maches up with a bit with the mcd baja 1000 1/5 scale truck. well the tunability of both the t-4 and the xxx-4 will give both of them an edge big time. but as with all racing, if the driver can handle the truck with a mamba maxx type speed and handle it well anything is possible. i think the stock tires will have a tough time holding up with the harsh conditions of a track. but that can be adjusted as well. with the correct gear ratio and maybe a nice powerful 17t motor and a good speed control its possible to beat both those cars.

I RACE IN THE 2WD TUFF TRUCK CLASS IN THE NRCTPA AND CANT WAIT TO GO AGAINST THE T-4S AND LOSIS. OF COURSE WE DO RACE 1 AT A TIME AGAINST THE CLOCK BUT I REALLY THINK I CAN BEAT THEM. Thanks ! The truck in my picture is a custom RC18T I built. It started with a diggity designs chassis. It has 4 stock arms & stock shock towers & a painted stock body. Other than that it's all aftermarket parts. Has 3racing half 8 wheels & tires. Powered by a Jwerks 6600 brushless set-up. It's a ton of fun & plenty fast. Thanks again !

I asked around and found that its a truck for next years series. the driver of which is up in the air. possibly a pro 2 guy? im not sure really and the sponser will change as well. its current sponsor is of a fabricating business out of Las Vegas. i have never heard of it before. it looked mean tho. ford powered around 700 horses.

Good luck on that. I have seen both run & you'll never have the stability of the slash. It will look more realistic, but at more than twice the cost. I think it's a cool truck too, but these delays have killed it for me.

Idk looker i think with the right set up the ttr CAN keep up with the slash. I dont have the set-up just yet, but i bought a slash too so im gonna keep comparing the 2 of them anyway i know im gonna have a ball trying lol :D Im thinking a 17 turn brushed motor for power and im gonna tweak the ttr suspension as much as i can without replacing parts mostly shock oil weights and spring rates with maybe some valving tricks thrown in

The biggest issue between the 2 of them is width. The Slash is so much wider, I think thats where the stability in the corners will really pay off. The TTR is an awesome truck. It's just sad it has taken so long to get out that it's been re-created by the Big companys. I still hope all goes well with sales of it.

looker thanks for the compliment and i agree with ya on the width part thats part of the reason i am thinking bout suspension set-up to see if i can get some of the center of gravity lower so it will corner better and eric nice suggestion but once you start going brushless dont ya gotta run lipos as well i dont think a lipo pack would fit in the battery slot

Hey all sorry been gone so long but just got back from a race in oregon at the rogue valley rc track what a blast. Ran my sb4 but what a PAIN going thru airport security (they wanted to know what all the weird wires were ) plus everytime i went to get my bag with the truck in it the damn thing was put on the conveyer belt upside down.:mad: Luckly nothing got damaged. Looks like we finally have a release date for the TTR cant wait . I told ya all that if ya just hung in it would be worth it

Hi all
here are some tips and notes ive found help and work with the truck

1- To fix cracks in the body i used LOCTITE SUMO glue . It says its for wood but it worked great on the plastic , best of all its paintable and sandable .

2- Since I use 6 cell packs , I put a 1/4 inch of foam block on each side of the cage and attached it with double sided carpet tape.

3- For the motor im running a TEAM ORION 21 turn using a 17 tooth pinion and mated to the stock 84 tooth 48 pitch spur gear

4- For tires in the rear I bought some RC4WD PROWLER XSs . Stocks were just fine but the PROWLERS are just a little softer compound

5- Suspension was left stock

All these settings were tested on the local high school baseball field which has dirt from plate & all the way back around to home again , for jumps i used wooden ramps that are 24 inches wide - 8 inches high- and have a 45 degree pitch angle . These are the same type ramps used in the NR/CTPA tuff truck races i compete in .

Please keep in mind the settings are just suggestions and may/may not work for you . Most of all just go out have fun with it and experiment with set ups you might wanna try too

no it doesnt come with the radio system im using a spare radio system i got out of an old t-3 rtr i destroyed its a jaguar radio system with a lrp speed control and it runs awesome

Hey All
Just another quick tip cover the front skid plate with 3-M peel and stick chassis protector . It works great at stopping gouges and scuff from jumps and stuff .

I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!! This is the coolest truck i own . You should REALLY consider getting one ive been nothing but happy with mine . It looks so real with the solid axle 4-link suspension in rear and independent suspension in front . Just like a REAL trophy truck .

nope already tried the body is to short for the wheelbase :( As for ford chevy toyota body there grill decals for all of the in the kit i used ford of course
