Getting the motor to start might be challenging in cold weather like that. I would suggest getting it started in a warm area like a garage first then bring it outside. Or if you have a heat gun, bring that with you and heat the top of the motor for a bit before you start it.

Another thing to remember is the cold makes them run lean at warm temp. settings. You must richen it up a bit. Another thing is to wrap the cooling head in aluminum foil. This keep the engine at an operating temp.. Below freezing temps are possible to run it, just requires some extra work to achieve it. If running in snow ( attempt ) to water proof all you can electronic wise ! They run real well in the cold though & it's a blast to run in snow !!

You can make great ramps out of snow and with a little hardpack on top of the snow it makes a great landing...I live in Colorado and love driving my trucks all winter. I love just after a dusting and a good hard layer under the soft snow driving all over the place...But will admit the plastic parts will break easier the colder it gets...I also fire up the air compressor for after the fun. I use it to do the initial cleaning of the trucks, then when the ice melts more it will help dislodge any remaining water. The idea of warming the motor is a good one, I start the motors in the garage and then take them outside, I also will put a rag or something else around the cooling fins since you really don't need much cooling. :)

Current temperature 35 degrees. To run my Savage in the winter I use a heat gun to warm the engine and work in the garage. I got an inexpensive one from the local hardware store.
