Noname - CC01 Jeep

Well I blame pete for this build, he reminded me of the 20.00 RC's at walmart, which turned out to be crap but after testing the fit of the jeep I knew I had to have the better quality one. Now I wish I would have kept the 20.00 one for the interior but oh well.

I've had this CC01 for a long while, it sat in the box for months, I bought it because I had a good Tower Coupon and well I impulse buy a lot. I got tired of it sitting in the box so I put it together with the TOuareg shell, but that was so damn ugly, I ordered the Cayenne body and some wheels but it didn't fit right, the CC01's track was off, but it still made an awesome rally car, almost to good, it was unstoppable compared to my Lancia and Cooper.

Anyways it's been sitting until now, I think I may need a 55t, I dropped a 45t in it but that's still to much power, I may try a 16t first, I'd like some wheel speed but I need more control in tight spots.

I still have A LOT fo work to go, really I've only mounted the body and tested the setup, the main to do list is a new floor board in the rear and remount the rear seat, maybe, might leave it open for gear and I need a front bumper and possibly a real tube bumper for the back. I have an insert that will fill the space in the front but I need to install the bumper first.

Well since the little one is home and I can't work on the Bronco I decided to make a Cage for the jeep. I tried to keep the classic look, I had planned on making it from 7/16" brass but I was worried that if I rolled that the weight of the CC01 and the battery would crush it so I used 3/16" steel brakeline and silver solder.

Thanks, yea I love the nylints, but was never sure what to use them on, but they fit the TLT's like a charm.

Well I got some time last night to do some detail work, man I need some new detail brushes, mine are all in craptastic shape. Anyone know a good place that sells small brushes. I had to up my game now that Austin Crawls is in the Houston area....LOL

I decided to go with a two tone black interior, I didn't care for the red with grey seats and a grey dash with black seats didn't work either.

The 4-link, now I only did a 4-link because the stock setup wasn't the right length. I also added a drop down link for a bit more articulation.

and because people keep asking....LOL That is not the stock tire cover, the one that came with the jeep was way to large, so I used a Look-a-like BFG and a touareg rim and than covered them with a tire cover made from 030 styrene, it just slips on and off. If I had a spare nylint tire I would use it.

I don't know, everytime i think I've got him, he ups the level....:rolleyes:

JACC got a coat of black today, but a cold front blew in so the garage is to cold to spray more. All I have left is finishing the paint, I ready to see that one on the trails, I'm working around the clock, I have a Hilux on the way.....:)

rip besides skulley, i think that truck (JACC) is my favorite of yours...i dig your work and think its top notch by far! i have an order for a hilux as well! :D ill be always willing to recieve pics of the killer crewcab!

Well I got a little extra time tioday so I decided to take her out and give her a test run. SHe did very well, it's hard to go from 2.2's to a CC01 1.9, not only are the tires smaller but the GC is very limited, very, very scale performance.

Looks good man!!! I wish I had of put mine on a CC-01 chassis!! :( I put mine on a TA02 chassis and yours looks a ton better!!! BTW who made your cage?? If you you made it would you make me one, if so pm the price please???:confused:

It's from a new bright Jeep, it's 50 dollar version, the 20 dollar version is made from really crappy plastic.
