Hi Im just letting everyone know that hobbytown usa is selling the chaos 1/16th nitro buggy for dirt cheap. I work in the one in san antonio texas and selling them for $119.99 rtr, just trying to spread the nitro bug.
---just to let everyone know if they (hobbytown) does not have them --they can get them.

do not get unless you want to wait for the engine to cool down 10 - 20 min after u run it.......every person at my hobbytown (fremont,ca) ive seen back there with problems with the engine and exchange them......chaos isnt good at all

annnnnnnnnttttt, ur both WRONG!!!! they just dont get enough air flow and they need the line from the pipe to the tank to be an inch longer. I've run one with those mods for 30+ mins. straight without a problem...people who think they know everything...annoy us who actually do, lol

aaaaahhhh blah........aparently u didnt get what i meant but what happens is your run it (30+ min straight anything u can ) but u got to wait for it to cool down then u run it cause the engine will not start cause so small and so much heat.....it doesnt matter mods or not....and we are both right.......its true.....gosh people these days.....so greedy and everything selfish

Those were at my local Hobbytown on Dec 26th for $70. Seemed like a great deal, but I get nervous when it feels like shops are trying to blow something out like that. To me, it means either end of life/discontinued, poor sales or problems.

Sportwerks is removing it from their lineup. If dealers bought 100 or more they were like forty some bucks.

If they had a rev 2.0 chaos or something I would consider it, just to know parts would still be available in the future. Kind of like how their Mayhem evolved over to become the Turmoil.

well...why would it matter that it has to cool down for that long?? i mean you dont have to stop to change the batt. or anything, you just keep filling up the tank till its time for dinner or something...

So you guys really have completely different experiences with these, so help me out here. I just bought one for $74.95 Brand new in the box. Say what you want about being too cheap, should have known better etc. etc. I have gotten better deals and things worked out perfectly so that is a very poor excuse.

Anyway so this overheating issue, the thing you are talking about is vapor lock. And there is always a way around it, whether it be an easy fix or not is another thing. Some companies go with a composite carb, better air-flow, cooling head size etc. Sportwerks really isn't the type of company to just roll over on this.
One of you stated people were back at the shop (Hobby Town) exchanging engines. What were they exchanging for the exact same engine? Seems odd, what is it just a revolving deal then? Just keep bring back engines and they just keep on sending you new ones?

Does anyone have any new useful information on these?
If I remember correctly RC Driver gave a gushing review of this Buggy?
Doesn't that kind of seem odd as well?

I maybe new here but I'm not new to RCs so help me on this one, I mean is the solution to just return this thing in the box now or is there a fix. And 1st hand experience would be the best here of course...
