i think ive heard about sidewinder, but im using top fuel right now and its not really working with my traxxas engine... and is it true that the fuel% you use in break-in should be used in the engine at all times? ive stuck with that and im not sure if its true or not

if you break your engine in on 20% you can go up to 30% but it will need to richened up. also, once you use a 30% fuel you cant go back down to 20%.

I have used O-D (I started with traxxas) 20% for most everyday driving, I have mixed 20% and 30% together (50/50), and have used just 30%. I can go up and down no problem. Just have to tune each time. I will say I was told the same thing when I first started in Nitro RC, but decided to try different fuels and %'s out. I even keep a can of "mix" which is a can of mixed fuels for my bashing. I take whatever is in the fuel bottle at the end of the day and drop it in the can. I have an old traxxas stampede (my first Nitro) and it gets the left overs...but will admit it really doesn't care. I have multiple trucks and they have all tasted the 30% but run mostly on the 20.

I run Sidewinder race 30%, its uses a full castor, or another good fuel would be wite lighting, but they stoped making that (one of the best fuels) or I'd run byrons 3000, the thing about the 20% to 30% then 30% to 20% I have a engine that was broke-in on 10% then swiched to 20% then swichted to 30% and it runs fine, realy you should run 30% most engines are shimmed for 30% anyway, you can go from 30% to 20% or even 0% if you wanted to with no problems (but who would want to) with 30% your enignes gona run a little cooler then 20%

O'D is all I use. Byrons is also great stuff. Blue thunder is absolute garbage and I wont run it even if I got it for free. We use it for fire starter when camping now:cool:

My favorite is the most inexpensive! lol For me right now it's OD 20%. Any quality name brand should be good, just watch out for high oil content as that can cause OWB problems.

I use what ever cheap swill is avilible at the hobby shop. I keep the nitro content at 20% but I have had good luck so far. Right now i have a gallon of some stuff called morgans. It seems to work fine in my tmaxx. I got it for $18.00 for the gallon.

If for a monster truck than 20%

If you have a buggie or truggie for RACING then use 30%
