I'm not only new to this forum, but relatively new at nitro racing. I've always run electric buggies. I bought and built my first nitro buggy this year. (MBX5R w/ OS V-Spec .21) Also I've never raced yet. I usually just bashed around my electric buggies. This year was a leaning experience. (A fast car doesn’t mean much unless you are a skilled driver, but I'm getting better) Obviously being a newbie, I've flipped it a few times and the cooling head is scratch up and ground down some. I'd like to replace the cooling head with one that is a little shorter so it's lays below the body height, but I don't want to sacrifice cooling ability. Does anyone have a suggestion?

cut some holes in your body like extra windows for more air

I had the same problem in my 8ight. Try a different body style, some have better protection. I also run a ring of fuel tubing around the top of my cooling head to protect from the flip and slide. But I would stick with the same cooling head.

also put 4 zip ties around the top of your cooling head the the bulky bit pointing up to protect it from rolling.
scratched cooling heads is something u allways will have to deal with u cant stop it, my cooling head is cracked and scratched havent gotten a new one yet

on ebay, there is a store called nova rc. They have an awsome product. You can get a slightly lower profile head, but it has more surface cooling fins than alot of stock heads have. they are relativly cheap, and may have just the head you are looking for. Also, the looks of these heads do not hurt either, they are very easy on the eyes.

nova heads makes all kinds of heads, probably there are several that would fit the Force .28 as it is a pretty popular engine...

Go to e-bay. Click on advanced search. Click on items by seller. Punch in nova-rc in the seller user ID line. It will pull up their store. They got alot of stuff, enjoy!!!

I found a few for the force .28. Did you get to their site and find them too? I have a head from them to go on my TRX 2.5R for my revo. I have a pic of it in here somewhere. I love the head, and when I ever need to get another head for any engine, that is where I will go.
