I Have Had One For About Six Months And It Is Tough. Try Putting Truggy Tires And Rims On It And Watch It Haul..

I've owned several OFNA models. They are very nice. The Monster Pirates I owned years ago were some of the first Truggy styles out there. I had alot of fun with them & have moved on to other model cars & trucks. I just sold my last one.

I don't understand the comp thing ? They run very well. To say they will compete in a racing venue. I would say Not. The Losi eight, CRT series, Kyosho 777, Associated RC8, & Xray XB8 Cars will dominate. Pro series cars will always be winners in the racing series. Not that you could not make a run with one. They are not near the cars the others are in the racing aspect. This catagory is extremely hard to get started in anyway & be in the running will take years of practice & racing.

You can enter a race with any vehicle you wish. If you plan on being a contender for a win. It will take a ton of practice & a vehicle suited for the extreme conditions of 1/8th scale racing. You don't see OFNA other than the Jammin CRT series in the top levels as winners. There is constant research & development in the high levels of buggys & truggys. Those vehicles also come with a 500$ or above roller price tag. Not knocking OFNA, but they have buggys for every price range.

Most races are 20$ or more to enter. If you win you can win some cash & cool prizes. If you get good at it you can get a sponsor that pays for all the cool stuff that makes you go fast. This takes TONS of practice & racing to achieve though. Go enter one & try it out. It's the best way to learn.

Its funny how the Miles Per Hour thing gets peoples attention everytime. Everytime somebody looks at my buggy they ask how fast can it go. Thats all right though cause I was the same way when I got into it. Congrats on your knew buggy and good luck to ya. Try and get to the track and you will be hooked in no time and talking with fellow racers is the best way to learn.

Yes OFNA has the Jammin' line but don't forget about the Hobao line. The Hyper 8 and 8.5 are both top notch vehicles and are competitive on every level. Jeremy Kortz has won multiple titles and Robert Batlle won the European 2007 championship. Greg Degani also had a great line of victories with this car against the top drivers in his class like Adam Drake(Losi), Taylor James(Jammin'), Mike Truhe(Losi), Jarod Tebo (Associated), Cody King (Kyosho) and Chad Bradley(Jammin'). Joe Quagraine is another one that won the Nordic championship with the Hyper 8.5.
I do agree with the statement that Ofna has many line of buggies available for every price range and experience level.

Oh I did forget those !! :o Those are very nice, but also come with a price tag like another pro level machine. They have difinitely won ! Driver is also a huge part of winning anything.
Awesome you got it for Christmas ! Glad you like it as well. I agree, now it's time to go drive the wheels off it .. Literally ! Have fun with it :D
