I am thinking about racing my Tmaxx 2.5. It is stock, runs real good and is tuned to what I believe is the best I will get it. Any pointers from you proffesional guys??

I am not a "proffesional" , but if your gonna race you will want to lose reverse (less weight and better accelleration) , lower it down a little , maybe get a better radio .......

I would go to the local track and see what type of track it is as far as soil, turns, jumps, and ect. and try talking to some of the guys up there and see what is a common tire choice for monster trucks because you will likly need to ditch the traxxas tires. Chances are you will meet someone there that can point you in the right direction for set-ups

ok ill break it down for you i am a sponsored racer and you really need to go to the track and see what the track looks like set up is everything you can have the best motor but with out the handleing you dont have anything.. also most rc tracks a good tire to use is the Proline Bowties there a great tire and you really want to invest in a better radio for your truck you dont want some one turning there radio on and your truck going out of controll and smashing into something,,, i have the Spectrum DX-2 you will never have to worry about some one being on your channel there are 1.4 billion diff channels and plus its cystral free with built in fail safe best bang for your buck also your going to want to make sure you have a little money to spend it can get costly very quickly depending on how compeitive you want to be i have over $1400.00 into my HPI SAVAGE X SS and still spending more , also get rid of the standard battery pack and get a recharge one youll thank me later more power is always better when you have to run long main ..... and its better for the servos the power less strain on them.. well if you hve any more questions feel free to mesage me also the t-maxx is a good truck i race with a ton of them..... lol:rolleyes:
